9.2. Removal and installation of power shafts
THE GENERAL DATA

The prevention

In no event it is impossible to lower the car on wheels with the removed one or two power shafts since it will lead to damage of bearings of a wheel. If it is necessary to move the car, it is necessary to establish temporarily the external end of a power shaft of a nave and to fix its nut.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

The prevention

At installation spherical шарнирного connections of the bottom lever it is necessary to use a new nut.


1. Remove a cap of a nave of a wheel and elements of blocking of a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave. Ослабьте a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave on the car, standing wheels on the earth. Also ослабьте bolts of fastening of a wheel. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove a corresponding forward wheel.
2. Merge oil from a transmission.
3. On the models equipped ABS, remove the gauge established on a wheel of the car.
4. Unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
The prevention

For simplification of unscrewing of a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave it is necessary to use the plugs blocking a nave (the adaptation 0606 AY).


5. Unscrew a nut of the bottom spherical hinge of a suspension bracket. Take the spherical hinge from the lever by means of a universal stripper for spherical hinges.

6. Take away a nave from the car and take the external end of a power shaft from a nave. If necessary for extraction of a shaft from a nave use a rubber hammer or киянку.
7. Supporting a power shaft, take the internal end of a shaft from a transmission, trying not to damage a sealing ring of differential thus. Take a power shaft from under the car.
The right power shaft
8. Ослабьте two bolts of fastening of the intermediate bearing of the right power shaft.
9. Then turn bolts (are specified by arrows) on 90 ° so that their heads were displaced from the external end of the bearing.
10. Take away a nave from the car and take the external end of a power shaft from a nave. If necessary for extraction of a shaft from a nave use a rubber hammer or киянку.
11. Supporting the external end of a power shaft, take the internal end of a shaft from a transmission and release the intermediate bearing from an installation suspension bracket.
12. After extraction of a power shaft from a transmission remove a protective cover from the internal end of a shaft, marking a place of its installation, and take a power shaft from under the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before power shaft installation check up a condition of a sealing ring of a power shaft in a transmission.
2. Clear шлицы for a power shaft in a nave and a transmission. Grease with a thin layer of greasing working edges of a sealing ring, шлицы a power shaft and flanges.
The left power shaft
3. Establish a power shaft in differential, having combined шлицы a power shaft with flutes of semiaxial gear wheels of differential. Insert a power shaft into a transmission against the stop.
4. Establish the external end of a power shaft in a nave.
5. Establish a protective plate to bottom spherical шарнирному to connection, then connect bottom шарнирное connection with the lever.
6. Establish a new nut of fastening шарнирного connections and tighten its demanded moment. Grease an inside and a carving of a nut of fastening of a power shaft with pure engine oil, screw it on a power shaft and tighten the demanded moment. Check up that the nave rotates freely then establish a blocking washer.
7. Fix a blocking washer spring шплинтом.
8. Establish gauge ABS.
9. Establish a wheel, then lower the car on the earth and definitively tighten bolts the demanded moment.
10. Check up oil level in a transmission and if necessary add.
The right power shaft
11. Check up that the intermediate bearing rotates easily and in regular intervals. Be convinced that is absent люфт an external ring in relation to the internal.
12. Grease with a thin layer of greasing an external ring of the intermediate bearing and an internal ledge for a dustproof cover.
13. Insert the internal end of a shaft through a suspension bracket of installation of the intermediate bearing and establish a dustproof cover on a power shaft.
14. Combine internal шлицы a power shaft with grooves of a semiaxial gear wheel of differential, and the intermediate bearing with an installation suspension bracket. Insert a power shaft against the stop into a transmission.
15. Establish the external hinge of equal angular speeds in a nave.
16. Check up correctness of installation of the intermediate bearing, then turn bolts on 90 ° and fix them in this position by nuts. Close the intermediate bearing a dustproof cover.
17. Establish a protective plate to bottom spherical шарнирному to connection, then connect bottom шарнирное connection with the lever.
18. Establish a new nut of fastening шарнирного connections and tighten its demanded moment. Grease an inside and a carving of a nut of fastening of a power shaft with pure engine oil, screw it on a power shaft and tighten the demanded moment. Check up that the nave rotates freely then establish a blocking washer and fix its spring шплинтом.
19. Establish gauge ABS.
20. Establish a wheel, then lower the car on the earth and definitively tighten bolts the demanded moment.
21. Check up oil level in a transmission and if necessary add.
