Coupling consists of a disk of the coupling, a leading part of coupling with a press disk and the deenergizing mechanism.

The deenergizing mechanism – mechanical also copes a self-regulated cable. On cars with the engine in volume of 2.1 litres the coupling drive is carried out by special hydraulic system. The coupling disk is established between a flywheel and a press disk of coupling and moves on шлицам a primary shaft of a transmission.

The leading knot of coupling is screwed by bolts on a flywheel. The twisting moment at engine work is transferred from коленвала through a flywheel and a disk of coupling which is clamped between a flywheel and a press disk, to a primary shaft of a transmission.

To disconnect the engine from a transmission, it is necessary to take away press a disk from a coupling disk. On cars Peugeot use two various mechanisms of deenergizing of coupling. The first – usual type where выжимной the bearing is established on primary to a transmission shaft. The second type where выжимной the bearing – the integral part of leading knot of coupling, is established on cars in working volume of 2.0 litres and all diesel engines.

On cars with the usual mechanism of deenergizing of coupling management of coupling is made by a cable. By pressing a pedal of coupling the cable moves and turns a plug of deenergizing of coupling for the top end of a plug. A plug, turning, compresses springs of press type and takes away press a disk from a coupling disk.

On cars with petrol engines in volume of 2.0 litres and diesel engines of 2.1 litres the coupling cable influences a plug of deenergizing of coupling which moves выжимной the bearing and influences the springs located on perimetre of a press disk.

On cars with diesel engines in volume of 2.1 litres the coupling pedal is connected with the main cylinder of coupling by a pusher.

The main cylinder of coupling is established on a partition of a motor compartment, and the working cylinder – on картере couplings. The tank for a liquid is established separately on a partition of a motor compartment and connected by a hose to the main cylinder.

Pressing of a pedal of coupling moves the piston in the main cylinder and compresses a liquid which on the pipeline moves to the working cylinder. Under pressure the piston of the working cylinder moves and puts in action a plug of deenergizing of coupling. The plug of deenergizing of coupling moves выжимной the bearing which influences a spring выжимного a disk and takes away выжимной a disk from a coupling disk.

The main cylinder, tank and the working cylinder represent tight knot. In this system liquid replenishment in a tank is not required. In the presence of leaks from a hydraulic control system of coupling all knot is subject to replacement. On all cars coupling regulation occurs automatically.
