2.1.3.1.7. A steering and a suspension bracket
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift in front of the car and reliably fix it on supports.
2. Visually examine противопылевые covers of spherical hinges and protective covers реечной steering transfer on presence of cracks, attritions and ageing. Any deterioration of these covers will lead to loss of lubricant and water and dirt hit that conducts to fast deterioration of spherical hinges or steering transfer.
3. Check up hoses of the mechanism of the amplifier of a steering on истирание or ageing, and also pipes and connections of hoses on leaks. Also check up protective rubber covers of steering transfer on signs of liquid leak under pressure which specify in damage of consolidations of a steering.
4. Lift the car a jack, take a wheel hands in position of 12 and 6 hours and try to shake it in a vertical plane. Very small люфт wheels it is admissible, but if люфт enough big, the further check is necessary to establish a source.
5. Continue to swing a wheel while the assistant presses a foot brake. If люфт it is eliminated or it is considerably reduced, it is probable that nave bearings are damaged. If люфт it is still considerable with the pressed brake, means there is a deterioration in connections and suspension bracket fastenings.
6. Now take a wheel in position of 9 and 3 hours and try to shake it in a horizontal plane. Presence люфта in a horizontal plane can be caused deterioration in bearings of a nave or spherical hinges of steering draught. If internal or external spherical шарнирное connection is worn out, люфт will be obvious.
7. Using the big screw-driver as the lever, check up deterioration in plugs of fastening of a suspension bracket between an element of a suspension bracket and an appendix point. Some movement should be observed, as fastening plugs are made of rubber, but excessive deterioration should be obvious. Also check up a condition of any visible parts of rubber plugs on cracks, deterioration and deformation.
