8.1.9. Mechanical transmission ML5T Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator. 2. Lift a forward part of the car and fix it on supports. Remove forward wheels and protection of arches of wheels. 3. Merge oil from a transmission, screw up drain and jellied stoppers the demanded moment. 4. Remove both power shafts. 5. Under the car unscrew bolts of fastening of the case of the intermediate bearing of a power shaft to an engine mount and the bottom frame. Displace a suspension bracket aside. 6. Remove the case of the air filter and system of inlet pipes. 7. Remove the working cylinder of coupling, having pressed it inside and in this position having turned on 90 ° counter-clockwise. Remove the working cylinder together with a pusher. 8. Using an elastic band, fix a pusher on the cylinder. Prop up a coupling pedal wooden бруском. 9. By means of the lever remove two spherical шарнирных connections of a cable from selector levers on a transmission. Take a cable from скоб fastenings on a transmission. 10. Disconnect from a transmission electric sockets – such, as the switch of a lantern of a backing, the gauge of a drive of a speedometer and the grounding tyre (the arrow specifies a place of connection of the tyre of grounding). Unscrew a bolt and remove TDC the gauge from the top part of a transmission. 11. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a starter and move a starter aside, without disconnecting from it a wire. 12. Remove an air inlet pipe турбонагнетателя, located between the pallet картера and a transmission. 13. Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove a protective plate of a flywheel. 14. Unscrew fastening bolts (are specified by arrows in a photo at the left) pipes of the amplifier of a steering. On a photo on the right by an arrow the bolt arrangement on the case is shown. 15. Remove the bottom frame of a forward suspension bracket. 16. Лебедкой lift a left-hand side of the power unit so that the weight of the power unit was perceived лебедкой. 17. Establish under a transmission a jack and lift it so that the transmission weight was perceived by a jack. 18. Unscrew the central nut (it is specified by an arrow) from the left suspension bracket of installation of the power unit. Unscrew bolts and remove a rubber pillow of a suspension bracket. Unscrew bolts and remove a suspension bracket. 19. Slightly приопустите a jack that it still supported a transmission, and unscrew bolts of fastening of a transmission to the block of cylinders of the engine. 20. Lower the engine and a jack, move a transmission to the left and remove it from directing pins. Lower a jack supporting a transmission, and take a transmission from under the car.

Preparation for transmission installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove выжимной the bearing from a press disk of coupling and repeatedly establish it on a transmission before transmission installation into place. In this case выжимной the bearing will correctly be established on a press disk at use of the special tool. 2. Special tool Peugeot 0216E for installation выжимного the bearing into place consists of the T-shaped handle, карданного the hinge and a special tip. The tool is inserted through an aperture for the working cylinder in картере transmissions so that the working part of the tool has entered into a groove of a plug of deenergizing of coupling. When the tool will turn on 90 °, the working end closes the ends of locks in grooves of a plug of deenergizing of coupling. Вытягивание the tool turns a plug of deenergizing of coupling and establishes выжимной the bearing in the lock of a press disk. 3. Remove coupling knot. 4. Using a screw-driver, remove выжимной the bearing, having wrung out a blooming ring (1) from an internal part диафрагменной springs of a press disk. 5. Remove выжимной the bearing from a press disk, then establish a blooming ring (1) in a case flute выжимного the bearing (2). 6. Establish coupling knot. 7. Establish выжимной the bearing on a primary shaft of a transmission and connect it to a plug of deenergizing of coupling. Check up that the plug of deenergizing of coupling easily and smoothly moves выжимной the bearing and that plug captures are correctly established on bearing ledges. 8. Check up, that special tool Peugeot has entered into a groove of a plug of deenergizing of coupling and was fixed in it at turn on 90 °. Remove the special tool. 9. Replace sealing rings коленвала.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal, taking into account following moments:       – Check up that выжимной the bearing is correctly established on primary to a transmission shaft;       – Check up that directing pins are on the places;       – After the transmission is screwed on the engine, establish special tool Peugeot as it is described earlier, pull the tool on itself so that the blooming ring выжимного the bearing has incorporated to a press disk of coupling       – Establish the bottom frame of a forward suspension bracket;       – Tighten all nuts and bolts the demanded moment;       – Establish into place the working cylinder of coupling, preliminary having greased a pusher with greasing on a basis дисульфида molybdenum. Establish the working cylinder on картере transmissions, press it against the stop and simultaneously turn on 90 ° clockwise. Slowly press a pedal of coupling and lift it back manually. In 10 seconds repeat this operation. Again press a coupling pedal, release it and check up, that it has returned to a starting position;       – Establish cables so that spherical шарнирное connection in diameter of 13 mm incorporated to the top lever, and spherical шарнирное connection in diameter of 10 mm – with the lateral lever;       – Add oil in a transmission.
