The prevention Depending on model and the established equipment, access to auxiliary приводному to a belt can be extremely limited. If it is required большее working space, it is necessary to remove the electronic control device of ignition / of system of injection of fuel (ECU).
On models with manual adjustment of a tension приводного belt Peugeot recommends use of the special electronic tool (SEEM C105. 5) for exact installation of a tension приводного a belt. If this tool is inaccessible, approximate installation can be reached, using a method described more low. At use of an approximate method of a tension of a belt the tension should be checked up in the shortest terms with use of the electronic tool.
On the models equipped клиновым with a belt, the tension is regulated manually on models without the conditioner and automatically – on models with the conditioner.

| 2. Tighten a manual brake and lift a forward part of the car. |
| 3. Remove the right forward wheel. |

| 6. Rotating an adjusting bolt, move a pulley of the mechanism of a tension from приводного a belt before its full easing. |

7. To put on приводной a belt pulleys in a following order:
– The pump of the amplifier of a steering;
– коленвал;
– The generator;
– Bypass a pulley (models in volume of 2.0 litres):
– A tension pulley. |
| 8. Check up that the belt is correctly established on pulleys without перекручиваний. Clean belt sagging, turning an adjusting bolt of a tension of a belt. |

| 9. At an insufficient tension the belt will slip on pulleys and to publish peep. At excess of a tension of a belt bearings of the generator of an alternating current can fail. |
| 10. The belt should be tense so that by pressing by a hand thumb a long branch of a belt the deflection made approximately 5.0 mm. |
| 11. To adjust a tension unscrew two bolts (or one) fixings of the mechanism of a tension and, rotating an adjusting bolt, move a pulley of the mechanism of a tension to приводному to a belt. After adjustment of a tension of a belt four times turn коленвал and repeatedly преверьте a belt tension. |
| 12. After the belt tension is adjusted, tighten a bolt of fixing of the mechanism of a tension. Connect a negative wire to the accumulator. |
| 13. Establish a wheel arch under a wing, a mudguard, a wheel and lower the car. |

As soon as the tension mechanism is weakened, fix this position, inserting 4.0 mm a face key into an aperture. Remove приводной a belt from all pulleys, marking a direction of its rotation. |

3. To dress приводной a belt on pulleys in a following order:
– A pulley of the mechanism of a tension;
– коленвал;
– The conditioner compressor;
– The pump of the amplifier of a steering;
– Bypass a pulley;
– The alternating current generator. |
| 4. If necessary, tighten bolts of fixing of the automatic mechanism of a tension. |
| 5. Check up that the belt is correctly established on pulleys without перекручиваний. Release the tension mechanism, having cleaned a key of square section. The spring of the mechanism of a tension will provide a correct tension of a belt. Connect a negative wire to the accumulator. |
| 6. Establish a wheel arch under a wing, a mudguard, a wheel and lower the car. |
