8.2.7. Removal and installation of the electronic control device (ECU)

THE GENERAL DATA

Control mean ECU together with the block of engine management ECU is located by an automatic transmission in block ECU box in the right forward party of a motor compartment near to a broad tank of system of cooling.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Switch off ignition, open a box of a cover of a box of block ECU. The block of management is located by a transmission more close to a car wing.

2. Lift the lock lever on the top part of a socket and disconnect a socket. Remove a socket in a back part, unhook a latch of a forward part and take block ECU from directing pins.

3. Remove block ECU, lifting it upwards.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. If new block ECU is established, it is necessary to spend a control trip under various road conditions that the scheme of management of the block has adapted to transmission parametres.
