Pillow of safety of the driver
The system of an inflatable pillow of safety is intended for additional protection of the driver at strong face-to-face blows of the car. It provides effective protection of the driver only at simultaneous use of seat belts. The safety pillow works only in case of strong blows, at which only belts it is not enough of one to keep a body of the person. The pillow role consists in space filling between the driver and a steering wheel to reduce body moving forward and thus to reduce to a minimum risk of reception of a head injury and a thorax.
In case of a head-on collision the electronic gauge of blow of a pillow of safety and pyrotechnic натяжителей seat belts registers more or less strong delay of the car. If at collision the threshold of operation pyrotechnic натяжителей seat belts is reached, the gauge sends a signal on involving device of forward belts. At stronger blow the second signal is sent to model of a pillow of the safety, located in a steering wheel nave. The pillow is instantly thrown out and inflated. After some fraction of a second a pillow, being inflated, fills space between the driver and a steering wheel, thereby interfering with dangerous moving forward a head and a thorax of the driver. At once after blow the gas containing in a pillow, comes to light from apertures in a back part of a cover. It is provided not to break visibility from a place of the driver and to provide possibility fast покидания the car.
Pillow of safety of the passenger
The pillow of safety of the passenger is inflated simultaneously with a pillow of the driver and operates similarly.
For the control of serviceability of a pillow the signalling device located on the panel of devices serves. It lights up at inclusion of ignition and should go out later 6 seconds.
Malfunction of a pillow if the signalling device does not light up at ignition inclusion is possible, does not die away in 6 seconds after inclusion of ignition and blinks in a current of 5 minutes, and then remains included. In these cases check up system of a pillow of safety.
All elements of a pillow of safety are calculated on operation in a current of 10 years from the date of car release. In the end of the specified term it is necessary to replace them.
