1.1.28.2. Lateral pillows of safety
The system of lateral pillows of safety is intended for increase of safety of the people sitting on forward seats, at lateral collisions. The system includes 2 electronic blocks of the management equipped with gauges of blows and 2 inflatable pillows of safety, built in a skeleton of backs of forward seats from outside doors.
In case of lateral collision the blow gauge analyzes the acceleration received by the car. At achievement of a threshold of operation it sends a signal to a pillow. The pillow is instantly inflated, breaking off fastenings in a back of a seat and fills space between the person and a door. It is intended for protection of a thorax and a stomach of the driver and the passenger.
The prevention The gas leaving a pillow, can have insignificant irritating influence.
The lateral pillow of safety does not work at weak lateral blows, at blows in front or behind and at contact breakage.
After the first lateral blow which has caused operation of a pillow, the system appears blocked so if the second lateral blow on the other hand (a situation the extremely improbable will follow) the second pillow will not work.
After operation of a pillow of safety it is necessary to replace a seat and the electronic block of management with pillows.
It is forbidden to dress covers on forward seats since they will prevent correct disclosing of lateral pillows of safety.
The control of serviceability of lateral pillows of safety
The signalling device carries out the same functions, as a signalling device of forward pillows of safety. |
