10.22. The stoplight switch
THE GENERAL DATA

The stoplight switch is located on an arm of a pedal of a brake.

On models with an automatic transmission there are 2 switches located on an arm of a pedal of a brake. From them the stoplight switch – left.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover boxes with fuses.
2. Disconnect a socket from key колодки.
3. Unscrew screws and remove the bottom furnish of the panel of devices. Access to the stoplight switch (it is specified by an arrow) is strongly complicated and can be improved if to remove a steering column.
4. Disconnect an electric socket, unscrew the switch and remove it from an arm.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Screw in the stoplight switch in an arm so that the backlash between the end of the case of the switch and a ledge on a brake pedal made 2–3 mm.
2. Connect an electric socket to the switch and check up work of stoplights. Stoplights should light up after the brake pedal is pressed approximately 5 mm.
