1. Clear шатунные loose leaves and their nests. The working backlash can be checked up two methods.
2. One of methods (which presence of a micrometer for measurement of diameter of apertures assumes) consists in establishing covers шатунных bearings together with the loose leaf on a rod and to screw their demanded moment. At loose leaf installation in a rod the ledge on the loose leaf (marksman) should be established in a groove on a rod.
3. Measure internal diameter of each collected pair loose leaves of the bearing. Measure diameter of everyone шатунной necks коленвала. Subtract from the measured diameter of the bearing the corresponding diameter шатунной necks коленвала.
4. The second (and more exact method) consists in using a product known as Plastigage. It is a round plastic core which is compressed between the loose leaf and a neck коленвала. After cover removal шатунного the bearing the deformed plastic core is measured by a special template which is available in complete set Plastigage. Procedure for use Plastigage the following.
5. Establish a rod with the loose leaf on a corresponding neck коленвала. Necks коленвала and loose leaves should be absolutely pure and dry.
6. Cut off a slice of plastic core Plastigage (it should be slightly shorter, than width шатунных bearings) and establish it on a measured neck коленвала.
7. Establish шатунные covers with the bottom loose leaves and tighten bolts of fastening by the demanded moment. In the course of measurement of a backlash by method Plastigage do not rotate коленвал.
8. Unscrew шатунную a cover of fastening of the loose leaf, remove it and to the deformed plastic core put the scale ruler printed on packing. Comparing width of the deformed plastic core with control width on a scale ruler, define backlash size.
9. In end carefully clear traces Plastigage of a material from loose leaves and коленвала.
