THE GENERAL DATA

ENGINES IN VOLUME OF 1.9 LITRES


The prevention

Inlet and final collectors are established on the same lining. Therefore it is recommended to remove simultaneously both collectors that it was possible to replace a lining.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove system of pipes of an air inlet from the top part of the engine, attached to an inlet collector.
3. Remove a vacuum hose, then unscrew two bolts of fastening of a diaphragm of management to a collector. Move diaphragm assemblage aside.
4. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove from under the engine a mudguard.
5. If the system of inlet pipes has not been removed, disconnect an entrance aperture from an exit турбонагнетателя. Close an aperture турбонагнетателя a pure rag.
6. Unscrew two bolts, крепящие the EGR-valve to the top part of a final collector.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of an inlet collector. Ослабьте, but do not unscrew completely the central bolt of fastening of a collector which is located in a collector groove.
8. Remove a collector from a head of the block of cylinders.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
2. It is necessary to consider following moments:
     – Replace linings;
     – Tighten all bolts the demanded moment;
     – Replace a lining at installation to the place of the EGR-valve;
     – Check up that all hoses and pipes are correctly established and reliably fixed.

Removal of the top part
The prevention

Between a final collector and a partition of a motor compartment there is not enough place for removal of the bottom part of a collector on the engine established on the car.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Ослабьте a collar (it is specified by an arrow) and remove a pipe from the top part of a collector.
2. Remove a screw clip of fastening of a flexible part of an EGR-pipe to a collector.
3. Unscrew four bolts (are specified by arrows) fastenings.
4. Lift the top part of a collector.
5. Remove four consolidations connecting pipes from the bottom part of a collector.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
2. Replace four rubber consolidations connecting pipes.
3. Screw up all bolts the demanded moment.

4. Fix an EGR-pipe with a new screw clip (it is specified by an arrow).

Removal of the bottom part

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the power unit (the engine together with a transmission).
2. Remove the top part of a collector.
3. Unscrew fastening bolts (are specified by arrows) collector, marking position of a suspension bracket of support of a pipe on the right side of a collector.
4. Remove a collector from a head of the block of cylinders, having unscrewed an EGR-pipe.
5. Remove a collector lining.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
2. Consider following moments:
     – Replace a collector lining;
     – Tighten bolts the demanded moment;
     – Establish the top part of a collector;
     – Establish the power unit.
